Charming hand-painted faience plate from Saint-Clément, France. A pink rooster with a sweeping curled tail perches on a basket of oversized pink and rust blooms, surrounded by green foliage and tiny blue forget-me-nots, on a green ground.

The wide, pierced “lace” rim — reticulated, scalloped, and picked out in pink — is what makes it. Made to be hung or propped, not just used.
